A co-created festival, by and for its community
Symbiose is a shared-governance festival that wants to see spontaneous, alternative and organic dynamics bloom. Cooperation, collaboration and experimentation are the roots of this experience. It is more than a festival — it is a space where every participant is an actor of the experience.
Big news this year: Symbiose becomes a fully co-built festival. Every participant is invited to the build and the takedown. Our intention is to bind us all together through the co-creation of the place where we will live. From setting up our spaces to creating our decorations, every action is one more root. All the way to the tips of the leaves, the experience is dreamed and built together.

Symbiose drop-ins every Tuesday — the perfect moment to meet, discuss the project and infuse your ideas.
Contributing to the living organism
Symbiose feeds on your proposals. Offer a DJ set to make the Exo-Forest vibrate, run a workshop, a performance or a galactic treasure hunt, exhibit a piece of art or decorate a corner of the camp… There are so many possibilities!

The festival elements
Sex+ space (Le Cocon): A space dedicated to positive sexuality will be present in the Cocon, only after nightfall. By day, exploration and connection workshops; by night, possible opening to positive sexuality. There is no obligation to take part or even to enter. The festival is not centered around this theme.
What makes Symbiose live
Co-responsibility
The festival can only be born from the initiative of its participants. Each of us carries the responsibility for how things unfold. If you see room for improvement, share your ideas, your knowledge, your opinions.
Connection to the living
Taking care of the living means respecting its limits — those of other humans, animals, plants, soils… Minimize your negative impact and maximize your positive one. Leave no trace of your passing.
Kindness
Kindness starts with yourself — compassion, consideration, respect. Let's treat those around us the way we would like to be treated.
Creativity
Symbiose is a space for art in all its forms. Music, dance, workshops, performances, land art, body paint, decoration — you can take part however you wish!
Inner flowers
Discovering and expressing our true being, in total freedom, without fear of judgment. All outfits are welcome, even the one called nudity :)
Honoring boundaries
Only enthusiastic, informed, reversible, freely given and specific YESes. Everything else is a NO. If something feels off, the Love Brigade (BDL) is here for you.
Pitching in
Your involvement is the very foundation of the concept! Kitchen shifts, cleaning, offering a workshop… You choose what you prefer. Step out of your comfort zone and you'll see the surprises!
Field of possibilities
A living laboratory to experiment with alternative ways of functioning, practices and arts. Tolerance toward novelty and boldness is the rule. What world do you wish to live in?
Present moment
Only the present moment counts. Anchor your body in what you are living, here, now. Will you dare to switch off your mind and give chance a shot at surprising you?
As a Symbiosien·ne
- Take care of the living: yourself, others, and the living in general
- Take care of the place: furniture, buildings, plants…
- Sign up for at least one or more 3h shifts
- Watch your waste (cigarette butts in the ashtrays, plastic in the yellow bins, glass in the canvas bags, organic matter in the compost, the rest in the black bins)
- Use the dedicated spots for your needs
- Be inclusive and kind: no discriminatory behavior is tolerated
- Be impeccable when it comes to consent: only a FRIES YES (Freely given, Reversible, Informed, Enthusiastic, Specific) is a yes. The rest = NO
- Be respectful about noise (people sleeping, neighbors)
100% vegan, organic and local
Considering that non-human animals have an inalienable right to live free from suffering, we have chosen an entirely vegan diet. This ethical choice is part of a desire for coherence with the values of ecological justice and respect for the living.
We favor, as much as possible, a community-minded and local approach, sourcing from nearby producers committed to organic and sustainable farming. Strengthen food sovereignty, support a human-scale circular economy, build direct connections with those who feed our territories.
An ethical, ecological, social, community-minded, organic and local diet. These commitments come at a cost, but they express a conviction: another way of doing, producing and eating is not only possible, but necessary.

1138 Route d'Abeau, 07140 Malbosc. Leave your private jet at home! We invite you to reduce your ecological footprint. Here are your options:
🚗 Carpooling
The simplest and most ecological! Organize with the other Symbiosien·nes via the carpooling board. From Alès ~1h, Aubenas ~45 min, Montpellier ~2h.
🚆 Train + shuttle
Nearest station to be confirmed. Shuttles will be organized from the station. Details to come by email.
🚴 Bicycle
Kudos for this choice! The planet and your thighs will thank you. A group ride may be organized.
🚹 On foot / hitchhiking
For the warriors of adventure! What matters is arriving — whatever the means ;)
Carpooling remains the best option for everyone: ecological, economical, and a chance to meet people before even arriving! Check the carpooling board and join the Symbiose Discord to organize.
Take your place
You choose how much you give for Symbiose. The idea isn't to pay as little as possible, but to find an amount that feels right to you — in relation to what you can give, what you have received, and the financial needs of the project.
Why this system? To address the issues of inclusivity, carry the hope of a utopia, question our relationship with money, and be in a cooperative relationship right from the ticket booth.
Your contribution covers: your place, 100% vegan meals (organic and local), unlimited coffee, tea and juice.
